NDA Hamilton 2025 Recap

Rubber City Resistance edged the Queen City Royals in overtime, 5–4, in a thriller to claim their second regular-season title of the year. Both Resistance and Royals navigated the full round robin play without a loss. Their own round robin meeting ended at a 2-all tie setting up a fitting rematch in the first place match up game. The final delivered: an overtime, nine-point nail-biter that Resistance closed out 5–4 to claim their medals.

  • Queen City Royals: 5–0–2 — Efficient and composed; wins over Frostbite (3–1), Gamecocks (3–1), Lake Monsters (2–0), Groundhogs (4–0), and Spiders (3–0). Tied Mutiny (1–1) and Resistance (2–2).

  • Rubber City Resistance: 4–0–3 — Defense set the tone with shutouts of Frostbite (3–0), Gamecocks (3–0), and Groundhogs (4–0). Drew with Lake Monsters (1–1), Royals (2–2), and Mutiny (2–2).

  • Bowling Green Frostbite: 4–2–1 — Bounced back from an opening 0–3 to Resistance; beat Gamecocks (2–0), Mutiny (2–0), Spiders (3–0), and Groundhogs (3–1); tied Lake Monsters (1–1).

  • Columbus Gamecocks: 4–3–0 — Four RR shutouts (3–0 over Groundhogs, Spiders, Mutiny, and Lake Monsters) show their ceiling; fell to Royals (1–3), Frostbite (0–2), and Resistance (0–3).

  • Lake Erie Mutiny: 3–2–2 — Strong start (wins over Lake Monsters 3–2 and Groundhogs 4–0, plus 2–0 vs Spiders), a gritty 1–1 draw with Royals, and a late 2–2 with Resistance.

  • Toledo Lake Monsters: 2–3–2 — Tied Resistance (1–1) and Frostbite (1–1); beat Groundhogs (2–1) and Spiders (4–0).

  • Streetsboro Spiders: 1–6–0 — Grabbed a RR win over Groundhogs (2–1).

  • Atlanta Groundhogs: 0–7–0 — First NDA event; found points late in the day and kept competing.

Placement games

  • Final (1v2): Resistance 5–4 Royals — Resistance dominated the first half, winning all of the three points. Royals made adjustments and were able to bring the game back level with under three minutes to play. Rubber City dominated early in the seventh point and Royals were forced to surrender to give themselves a chance to tie the match up and go to overtime; which they did. Akron closed overtime with poise to secure the crown. The final match was a fitting capstone to an undefeated RR run for both sides.

  • Third place (3v4): Frostbite 5–3 Gamecocks — Bowling Green completed a two-win day over Columbus after the RR shutout, claiming the bronze.

  • Fifth place (5v6): Mutiny 4–1 Lake Monsters — Lake Erie finished strong to take the 5-spot.

  • Seventh place (7v8): Spiders 6–2 Groundhogs — Streetsboro found their offense in the rematch, while the Atlanta newcomers logged more valuable reps in their debut.
